Interpretation and Translation Committee
The purpose of the Interpretation and Translation (I & T) Standing Committee is to improve and manage English and Spanish communication within CNCA. This open committee began in January 2005 and consists of 6 members.
The I & T Committee provides CNCA with interpretation at 4 Area Assemblies and 12 Area Committee Meetings each year. With the help of volunteers from the linguistic districts, the committee facilitates the translation of English to Spanish text in the following: CNCA Comments/ Comentarios, web page updates, meeting minutes, and other documents necessary to area business. It also provides interpretation for two standing committees at the monthly Area Committee Meeting.
Service positions within the I & T Committee include the Committee Chair, Comentarios Liaison, Equipment Tech, Translator Coordinator, Recording Secretary, and Written Translation Coordinator. The committee brings together the varied talents of its members and enhances unity using the language of the heart.
